Given Half A Chance, Christians Would Choose Barabbas Yet Again!

And The People said Give Us Barabbas!!!
Even after multiple lessons revealed to us from past ancestors, who wreaked catastrophic consequences through bad decisions, many people especially religious types; if given the choice, would choose the barbaric way of Barabbas, over peace yet again. It is very disappointing but, necessary to acknowledge how, we, as a people, have literally gone full circle, just to land right back where we started. Unfortunately, most of us, when frustrated, are far too willing to choose hostility over calm and violence over extending an olive branch. Remember, blessed are the peacemakers? What ever happened to that Biblical application?
John 18: 40 They shouted back, “No, not him! Give us Barabbas!” Now Barabbas had taken part in an uprising.
An uprising?
So, an insurrection?
It appears that historically we have a similar instance when people chose the path of an insurrectionist’s over a peaceful resolution to their disagreements.
Obviously we are talking about our current leader and President, Donald Trump. Please, don’t get me wrong, I am in no way advocating that President Biden, or Kamala Harris are righteous redeemers! I am merely pointing out, how so often, when given the choice between violence and a conflict-free solution, most people tend to choose violence! Historically, it appears that we are doomed to consistently relive our former mistakes, over and over and over again.
Why is this?
One would think that peaceful people would desire leaders who seek to resolve issues of disputes with diplomacy. A negotiator who is willing to compromise, make concessions and lead all parties toward a peaceful resolution. Unfortunately, the people of this modern era are not peaceful at all, they prefer to resolve global issues, using disrespectful language, threats of retaliation and childish temper tantrums. It appears that too many people have come to reject the lessons in peacefulness, taught in the Bible. They do not seem to agree with the love thy neighbor policy of the good book, instead they continue to choose the hateful, divisive rhetoric, of demons!
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:24 “Make no friendship with the man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man.”
According to Yehoshua, there is never a time or place for violence!
Matthew 26:50 reads Yehoshua replies, “Do what you came for, friend.” Then the men stepped forward, seized Yehoshua and arrested him. (51) With that, one of Yehoshua’s companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
(52) “Put your sword back in its place,” Yehoshua said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword!
This very analogy could also apply to other weapons’ people depend upon, currently, this would include nuclear weapons and guns!
(53) Do you think I cannot call on my FATHER, and HE will at once put at MY disposal more than twelve legions of angels?
It is so interesting how so many church people AKA Evangelicals (Christians), insists on owning guns to ensure safety for themselves and their families. They fiercely maintain that citizens have the right to violently over-throw governments if they don’t agree with the out-come of an election! They also completely ignore the portions of the Bible which offer clear instructions in how to behave towards one another, with loving kindness and a forgiving spirit.
Zechariah 7:9 This is what the LORD ALMIGHTY said: “Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.”
Matthew 25: 37-40 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ ”
It would seem that many people today actually believe shooting, drowning and/or jailing immigrants, even feeding them to hungry alligators is acceptable behavior. These are people who fled war torn countries and inhumane conditions for a better life. Unfortunately, many Christians also seem to have absolutely no problem forcibly separating refugee children, already resettled from previous deplorable conditions, from their families.
Many of these Trumpters have become vigorous believers in shoot first and ask questions later. Unfortunately, this homicidal mindset completely dismisses everything taught to us by Yehoshua. 1st Peter 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
Matthew 5: 43- 47 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
The truth is, GOD is real, HE exist, and HE is watching our every move!
Leviticus 19: 33-34 When a foreigner resides among you, you should not mistreat them, but treat them as your native-born and love them as yourself, remembering that you were also foreigners in Egypt.
True people of GOD believe that GOD is the ONE IN CHARGE,
Not us!
No GOD fearing person, who trust in THE LORD should ever need a gun! Sadly though, these people (along with Evangelicals and other church goers) have proven themselves to be cruel, and faithless! Through their disloyal choices and behaviors those who are Christian have proven that they hold little to no trust in GOD. What they trust, is their own pride, their own will, and their own narcissism

At what point will people stop forcing their own human will, and patiently wait for GOD’s WILL to prevail in their lives?
GOD’s WILL! It sounds absolutely foreign doesn’t it? This is most likely because today’s Christian Church, along with many other religions rarely if ever practice the patient and peaceful, hands off approach actually taught in the Good Book! Many ministers continue to play politics, leading people in the opposite direction of peace. They rarely if ever choose the humble approach which requires trust. They refuse to patiently wait on GOD!!
In Luke 23:19, Barabbas was “in prison with the rebels who had committed murder during an insurrection.” Now let’s be clear, an insurrection would include fighting, weapons, violence, and most likely murder, and yet, the people chose Barabbas over peace. They chose him over love. They chose the way of Barabbas over the peaceful way of GOD’s Messiah, whom they allowed to be killed, without speaking one word in HIS defense!!!
Fast forward into today. During the “American Insurrection of January 6, 2020,” insurrectionist not only sought to overturn a free and fair election (the legal vote of the majority, which included over 80 million people) but they also attempted to over-throw the American government. To attack the congress, drag the speaker of the house and the vice president publicly onto gallows and hang them live before a television audience! Even worse, after all was said and done, a majority of the American people saw nothing wrong with releasing those 1500 violent insurrectionist, back onto the streets to antagonize more innocent people.
These offenders continue to be led by hate and fueled by violence. They were radicalized by Donald Trump, who sought to hunt and kill elected officials, along with the vice president, Mike Pence, for refusing to break the law and throw out millions of legal ballots! These are criminals who have no respect for Federal or Judaical laws, let alone GOD’s laws.
More then likely some of these insurrectionist were probably Evangelicals! Regrettably, these people, who claim to love the Bible, don’t even follow the laws of the land much less the laws of GOD!!!
Romans 13: 1-2 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from GOD, and those that exist have been instituted by GOD. 2) Therefore whoever resist the authorities, resist what GOD has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. This is pursuant to laws that were set in place by courts and other governing bodies.
This is a proclamation, confirming that who ever is in charge, we are to continue to abide by the laws of the land. Our trust should remain in GOD and not man. Trying to steal an election, or violently overthrow any government with an insurrection is absolutely unacceptable behavior. Attempting to harm or murder anyone, including government officials, such as sitting members of congress, the capital police, Federal judges, the vice president or the president is not only breaking not only breaking all state and federal laws but GOD’s perfect laws.
Unfortunately, Donald Trump is responsible for leading a violent coup. Just as Barabbas did almost two thousand years ago.

According to AP News — A New York judge ordered Donald Trump and his companies on February 2024, to pay $355 million in penalties, finding that they engaged in a years long scheme to dupe banks and others with financial statements that inflated his wealth.
Judge Arthur Engoron concluded that Trump and his company was “likely to continue their fraudulent ways” without the financial penalties and other controls he imposed. Engoron concluded that Trump and his co-defendants “failed to accept responsibility” and that experts who testified on his behalf “simply denied reality.”
Romans 13:7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
A jury in Manhattan found President Donald Trump’s company guilty of a long-running criminal tax fraud scheme that lasted into his presidency.
In all, the jury found two entities controlled by Trump guilty on 17 counts of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records. The maximum penalty was $1.6 million.
Isn’t it disturbing how so many Church people and Evangelicals see nothing wrong with this conduct? Maybe GOD is trying to tell us something in revealing this behavior to those of us who know better.
Leviticus 19:11 “Do not steal.” ‘Do not lie.” ‘ Do not deceive one another.
Unfortunately, many recent polls have found that over 70% of White Evangelicals continue to support Donald Trump! Even after he was issued four indictments! Even after he was accuse of sexual assault by at least 32 women! And after he was found guilty of multiple counts of fraud. They continue to choose Trump over truth, they choose him over justice, even over decency. Just as the people chose Barabbas in the past, they have chosen once again the insurrectionist, the liar, and the thief. Many current church goers remain unyielding, following Donald Trump wholeheartedly until the end.
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
All people claim they want to live peacefully, yet many continue to choose violence over calm, divisiveness over unity, cruelty over mercy and defiance over restraint! They continue to reject the peaceful ways of Yehoshua the Messiah in favor of the chaos and destruction of the devil!
Why do people continue to choose the way of Barabbas and then lament about how wicked and dark times have become?
Luke 22:49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant and cut off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)
(51) But Yehoshua said, “No more of this! ”Am I leading a rebellion that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? And he touched (the servants) ear and healed him. When I was with you day after day in the temple courts, you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour-when darkness reigns.”
It appears that this same darkness, continues to rule men today!!!

According to Politico in over a five-month span, President Donald Trump was charged in four criminal cases. In Washington, D.C., he was charged with four felony counts for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Two of the charges related to the disruption of Congress’ certification of the electoral vote on Jan. 6. And one alleges a scheme to defraud the United States through a sustained effort to impede the collection, counting and certification of votes in the 2020 election. The fourth charge accuses Trump of a conspiracy to deprive citizens of a right secured under federal law — specifically, the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.
In 1st Timothy 3: 2-3, “So a overseer (or president, one who serves the people), must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach. He must not be a heavy drinker or be violent. He must be gentle, not quarrelsome, and not love money.”
None of 1st Timothy 3 :2-3 descriptors, apply to Donald Trump’s character! Yet he is the clear choice of many people including Christians to lead the nation.
In Georgia, Trump had 13 felony counts as a result of his election interference in that state.
The prosecution alleges that Trump led a “criminal racketeering enterprise”, in which he along with many other defendants “knowingly and willfully joined in a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome” of the 2020 US presidential election.
But wait, there’s more!
There is another charge. In April 2021 Trump shared national secrets about U.S. nuclear submarines with an Australian billionaire who was a member at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s private resort. The magnate, Anthony Pratt, has reportedly told federal investigators that Trump told him the “supposed exact number of nuclear warheads they routinely carry, and exactly how close they could get to a Russian submarine without being detected.”
According to Wikipedia, Trump regularly shredded “both sensitive and mundane” documents while at the White House (a clear violation), at Mar-a-Lago, and on Air Force One, despite repeated admonishments from at least two of his chiefs of staffs and from White House council. His aides had developed special practices and protocols early in his presidency to retrieve the piles of torn paper attempting to tape documents back together with the help of other staffers from the Office of the Staff Secretary and the Oval Office Operations team.
Unfortunately though, not all materials were recovered; other White House staffers frequently used “burn bags” to destroy documents. On at least two occasions, Trump allegedly flushed documents down the toilet at the White House residence.

32 counts against Trump for 32 specific documents that he allegedly hoarded at Mar-a-Lago and refused to give back, even though he was no longer entitled to possess them after his presidency. Of the 32 documents, 31 were marked classified, and many concerned foreign military capabilities, military activities or nuclear weapons, according to the indictment. The remaining eight felony counts arise from Trump’s alleged efforts to stymie the investigation, including directing Walt Nauta (Trump’s butler and body man) to move boxes in the hope that neither Trump’s own lawyer nor the FBI would discover the classified documents, according to “Politico.”
The 8th commandment found in Exodus 20:15 and Deuteronomy 5:19 “Thou shall not steal.”
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Before he was re-elected president his many counts included…
(1) count of violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (3) counts of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer (1) count of conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer (2) counts of conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree (2) counts of false statements and writings (2) counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings (1) count of filing false documents (1) count of conspiracy to commit filing false documents.
34 Felony Counts!
On May 30, 2024, Trump became the first US president to become a convicted felon. After a six-week trial that sidelined him from his campaign to regain the White House, he was found guilty of falsifying business records in connection with a payoff to Stormy Daniels, a porn star who claimed she had a sexual encounter with him, while he was married to wife, Melonia Trump. By buying Daniels’ silence, the payoff avoided a possible sex scandal in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign.
But wait! There’s still more…
If all of this treachery and malfeasance wasn’t enough, he was also found guilty by a jury of his peers for assaulting a woman!
According to “The New York Times” in May (2023), a jury found that Donald Trump sexually abused E. Jean Carroll, a former advice columnist for Elle magazine who said he assaulted her nearly three decades ago in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room.
An article in “Politico,” written by Erica Orden and Wesley Parnell, titled “Jury finds Trump liable for sexual abuse in E. Jean Carroll case” Also reported that a federal jury found that Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed E. Jean Carroll, a writer who accused the president of attacking her in a department store dressing room in the 1990’s.
The verdict in the civil trial marks the first time that Trump, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by over two dozen women, has been held legally responsible for sexual assault.
On the Subject of the Legal Case Trump Lost with E. Jean Carrol, the Washington Post reported that judge, Lewis A. Kaplan has clarified there is basically a legal distinction without a real-world difference. He says that what the jury found Trump did was in fact rape, as commonly understood.
And It gets worse!
In 2005 the Washington Post also obtain a recording from an interview Donald Trump did with Billy Bush before he was elected President in 2016.(Be aware this is a time when he was still married and cohabiting with wife Melonia Trump.)

To be clear, no one could possibly know why Donald Trump was re-elected as president by the majority after all the shockingly deplorable behavior the world has witnessed from him. Many people, especially church types, continue to ignore credible news outlets, fact checkers and legal court cases. They hang on for dear life to his empty promises even though it has been verified by several credible sources that he told over thirty thousand lies during his first term in office. The ninth commandment found in Exodus 20:16, states “You shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” Proverbs 19:9 “A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks lies will not escape.”
What is currently in store for the mighty nation who condones this disgusting behavior? No one knows, however, I do believe that Donald Trump is GOD’s weapon of choice to conclude (or end), this famous saga, once held as, “the American Experiment.” (The ambitious undertaking of establishing a self-governing republic, founded on principles of liberty, democracy, and individual rights). If any Evangelicals doubt that the end is upon us, “nay, nipping at our heals,” it is simply proof of how blinded by corruption so many including religious people have become.
It would appear that the FATHER has chosen to utilize these Christian Nationalist, MAGA Maniacs to completely pummel the very nation they so fervently claim to love. They continue to demolish every institution and government pillar, once believed to be the very foundations of the nations democratic purpose.
Stay strong believers, do not despair. We must keep the faith, and continue to be the light that shines brightly over Satan’s corruption. Love the ONE TRUE GOD and wholeheartedly believe that everything happening today is a part of HIS (GOD’s) perfect plan!
Proverb 3 : 5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to HIM, and HE will make your paths straight.
