What Exactly Is Leviathan?
The blog you are about to read was researched, organized, and written using information gathered from history books, Wikipedia, and most importantly, the Bible. Unfortunately some of this information may be offensive to some readers. I assure you, this was not the intended purpose. The analysis compiled here was not gathered out of malice, or grievance toward any group or person. The information found in this blog was constructed for research and discovery purposes only.
The name Leviathan comes from the Hebrew Livyatan, which derived from a root that means “to twist, turn, wind, or coil.” The word Leviathan (לִוְיָתָן), describes a massive, serpentine sea monster or dragon symbolizing chaos in the Bible (Job, Psalms, Isaiah).
The Bible tells us, in Psalms 74:14 It was you (YHWH) who crushed the heads of Leviathan And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
The end is coming soon for Leviathan!

Revelation 13:1-8 and I saw a beast come up out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads. On its horns were ten royal crowns and on its heads blasphemous names. 2 The beast which I saw was like a leopard (Greece/Turkey), but with feet like those of a bear (Persia/Iran) and a mouth like the mouth of a lion, (Babylon/The British Empire spiritually) geographically today it is found in Iraq. To it the dragon gave its power, its throne and great authority. 3 One of the heads of the beast appeared to have received a fatal wound, but its fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth followed after the beast in amazement.
The Leopard Beast
The body of a leopard could be referring to (Alexander the Great and Greece)- The British Empire mirrored Alexander the Great and Greece through a self-imposed mission to bring “civilization” to indigenous peoples, often viewing their actions in India through a classical, Hellenistic lens. Like Alexander’s spread of Greek culture, the British spread their religion, language, laws, and administrative systems globally.
The Feet Of A Bear
It would appear that both the British Empire and the Persian (Achaemenid) Empire share characteristics as massive, multi-ethnic, and multilingual territorial expansions that utilized, to varying degrees, indirect rule, regional governors (Satraps), and developed infrastructure (Royal Road vs. maritime networks) to manage vast territories. Both empires maintained stability in diverse regions through centralized authority, while also facing challenges in maintaining control over such large areas and vast diverse populations.
4 They worshipped the dragon, because he had given his authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying,
“Who is like the beast?
Who can fight against it?”
5 It was given a mouth speaking arrogant blasphemies; and it was given authority to act for forty-two months. 6 So it opened its mouth in blasphemies against God to insult his name and his Sh’khinah, and those living in heaven; 7 it was allowed to make war on God’s holy people and to defeat them; and it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. 8 Everyone living on earth will worship it except those whose names are written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb slaughtered before the world was founded. 9 Those who have ears, let them hear!

Is Leviathan Real Or Just A Metaphor?
Symbolizing absolute chaos – Leviathan seems to be a description delineating a state of utter confusion and disorder; A very fair assessment of the current pandemonium happening not only in America, but around the world.
Job 41:33-34 say’s, On earth there is nothing like him (Livyathan), Which is made without fear. He beholds every high thing; He is king over all the children of pride.
Author’s note: Leviathan becomes a powerful metaphor that embodies the forces of pride, the asserting of ones superiority over others, ultimately representing prideful Satan, who leads all humans into rebellious behaviors against GOD.
The final two verses of Job 41, starting with verse 33, tell us, “There is nothing like him on earth. ”Making him superior to all other beasts; it evens describes him as: a creature without fear.
The GOD of our fathers, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, tell us that GOD will destroy leviathan in the end. Isaiah 27:1 In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.
On the Day of Judgement God appears to kill Leviathan, as a symbolic promise to defeat ultimate chaos, evil, and dark spiritual opposition. This also represents God’s supreme power over rebellion and the forces of darkness. With this final judgment prophesied in Job, Psalms, and Isaiah 27:1, We see GOD’s victory over chaos, darkness and evil.
Revelation 19:17-21
17 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds that fly about in mid-heaven, “Come, gather together for the great feast God is giving, 18 to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of generals, the flesh of important men, the flesh of horses and their riders and the flesh of all kinds of people, free and slave, small and great!” 19 I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to do battle with the rider of the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was taken captive, and with it the false prophet who, in its presence, had done the miracles which he had used to deceive those who had received the mark of the beast and those who had worshipped his image. The beast and the false prophet were both thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword that goes out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
The Monster Of The Sea!
The primary Hebrew word for serpent is Nachash (נָחָשׁ), a versatile term meaning “serpent” or “snake,” which has even been related to the words “divination and witchcraft.” It appears famously in Genesis describing “serpent” and is also the “bronze serpent,” found in the book of Numbers. Other related words include Tannin (תַּנִּין) for sea/land monsters/serpents and Seraph (שָׂרָף), meaning “burning ones,” often depicted as fiery flying serpents.
Divination?
Divination is the practice of seeking hidden knowledge or foretelling the future through supernatural means. resources such as interpreting signs, omens, dreams, or symbols. They were often done by using tools such as tarot cards, astrology, and scrying. Divination acts as a bridge to the spiritual realm, allowing practitioners to gain insights from gods, spirits, or inner knowing. It has appeared in nearly every culture throughout history, from ancient Babylonian astrology to modern-day fortune-telling.
Witchcraft

In the Bible, witchcraft (or sorcery/divination) is a serious sin, condemned as rebellion against GOD, an seen as an attempt to gain power or knowledge from demonic sources, and a counterfeit of true spirituality. There are prohibitions against mediums, spiritism, spells, and fortune-telling. Most leading to death penalties in the Old Testament and listed as an “act of the flesh” in the New Testament. It’s fundamentally about seeking control and influence outside of God, akin to idolatry and is regarded as a rejection of His will.
Nachash
Nachash (נָחָשׁ) was a Hebrew word with many meanings, beyond it’s definition of snake or serpent, it was connected to divination, enchantment, and bronze. Appearing in the Bible as the cunning tempter in Genesis chapter 3:1-6 to the bronze healing serpent in Numbers 21:4-9, carrying connotations of hidden knowledge, temptation, and even divine communication.
- In Numbers 21:8-9, Moses is told to make a fiery serpent, he then makes a bronze serpent—a Nehash Nechoshet.
Nechoshet (נְחֹשֶׁת): Refers to bronze or copper.
The root
𝑛−𝑐ℎ−𝑠ℎ can also be associated with divination or shining/gleaming, which sometimes connects the concept of a snake to a “shining one” or a supernatural being.
Seraphim
“Seraphim” comes from the Hebrew for “fiery ones” or “burning ones,” reflecting their intense love for God. They possess six wings: two to cover their face (showing reverence), two to cover their feet (humility), and two for flying. They are attendants and protectors of God’s throne, intensely focused on praising God’s holiness. First described in Isaiah Chapter 6, where the prophet Isaiah witnessed them in a vision of God. They are not agents of destruction but are consumed by divine love, radiating light and power, sometimes described as beings of pure flame
The word tanning describes “serpent,” “dragon,” and “sea monster.” Enoch describes the parting of two monsters, Leviathan (female) and Behemoth (male), on the great Day of Judgment, as recounted in the Jewish Encyclopedia.
It appears that Leviathan and Behemoth are representations of the evil, fleshly powers that control our world today. The anti-Christ and the false prophet; representing Evil governments of people who behave more like beast then men.

In 2 Esdras, Leviathan and Behemoth are found in chapter 6:49-52, Ezra recounts God’s creation, stating He created these two great beasts and set them apart: Behemoth in the dry land (one of the thousand mountains) and Leviathan in the sea (the seventh part/watery part) to be preserved for the righteous to feast on at the time of the final judgment
Where On Earth Are These Creatures Today?
According to legend, Leviathan would be found in the Mediterranean Sea, according to the midrash, under Pirke de-Rabbi Eliezer which also recorded how the fish that swallowed Jonah narrowly avoided being eaten by Leviathan, which is said to eat one whale each day.
2nd Baruch 29:3-4 And it shall come to pass when all is accomplished that was to come to pass in those parts, that the Messiah shall then begin to be revealed. 4 And Behemoth shall be revealed from his place and Leviathan shall ascend from the sea, those two great monsters which I created on the fifth day of creation, and have kept until that time; and then they shall be for food for all that are left.
GOD asked Job, Can you draw out Leviathan with a hook, Or snare his tongue with a line which you lower? Can you put a reed through his nose, Or pierce his jaw with a hook?
This tells us that Job knew exactly who GOD was indicating when HE (GOD) spoke of Leviathan. Apparently Job was well acquainted with this creature.
Writers have define Leviathan in many ways, a large sea creature, death, chaos, even the embodiment of all that is evil.
But In The Book of Isaiah, Leviathan…
appears to be a sea serpent symbolizing Yaakov’s enemies.
The multiple heads of Leviathan may represent Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Holy Rome (And Byzantine) ending with the Great British Empire! All enemies of Yaakov!
Also In The Book Of Job!
In the Book of Job, Leviathan is a fire-breathing reptile closer to an armored crocodile, personifying an aspect of creation far beyond human comprehension or control. The powerful, chaotic sea monster Leviathan serves as a metaphor for the oppressive enemies of Yaakov, with Babylon being the primary real-world power in this symbolism. It represents chaos, opposition, and tyranny, which will be overcome by God’s power.
An early illustration created by Benjamin Franklin used to unite Americans

Leviathan also coming from the Hebrew word lavah, specifying join, to join, unite even obligation; it is also used metaphorically to describe a deep, intertwining connection. It seems to delineate a closeness between man and chaos. A wreathed animal, figuratively representing a serpent, Leviathan is also believed to represent the constellation of the dragon.
Leviathan Represents Babylon — Babylon; The Great, and Egypt.
Why The British Empire is Babylon; the Great.
The Mouth Of The Lion
The Similarities between Babylon, and The British Empire, Are Quite Remarkable!

Both ancient Babylon and Britain created expansive empires through military conquest, controlling vast territories and bringing different regions under a central authority, ruling over multiple diverse populations.
They both developed complex, centralized administrative systems that utilized taxation and a professional military to maintain control over conquered areas.
Both empires employed the tactic of forcibly removing conquered populations into other parts of their empire, most notably the Babylonian exile initiated by Nebuchadnezzar II found in the Book of Daniel.
Britain, however, moved over 3 million enslaved (Yehudim) Africans to its Caribbean colonies—notably Jamaica, Barbados, and the Leeward/Windward Islands-to work on sugar plantations. Smaller numbers were sent to North American colonies (Chesapeake, South Carolina, Georgia) and Spanish territories, with some taken to Britain.
- Caribbean Colonies (Main Destination): Jamaica and Barbados were primary destinations. Other locations included St Kitts, Antigua, Nevis, Grenada, and St Vincent. These areas focused on intensive sugar production.
- North America: Enslaved people were transported to British North America, specifically the Chesapeake Bay region (Virginia and Maryland) and the Lowcountry (South Carolina and Georgia). About 3.5 percent of British-transported slaves ended up in North America.
The Babylonians, like the British, invested heavily in public works, including repairing irrigation systems, constructing massive fortifications, and enhancing trade routes to maintain power and economic stability.

Both empires placed a high value on maintaining order through written legal systems, such as the Code of Hammurabi, which provided Babylon’s uniform legal structure maintaining their diverse territories.
Britain, however, maintained power over enslaved people across its entire empire by implementing legalized, institutionalized, and racialized slave codes, most notably the Barbados Slave Code of 1661. These laws defined enslaved Africans as chattel property, sanctioned severe, legalized violence (whipping, torturing, burning), and strictly enforced social control through restrictions on assembly, movement, and education presumably to prevent rebellion.
Both empires took an interest in (stealing) preserving, collecting, and showcasing the art, artifacts, and knowledge of the territories they ruled, similar to how the British Empire collected artifacts for museums (e.g., the Babylonian “museum” of Ennigaldi-Nanna did as well).
Leviathan Is Impenetrable

Many believe that God created the Leviathan primarily to showcase HIS immense power, sovereignty, and control over the most formidable, chaotic forces in creation, humbling humanity and establishing divine authority.
Job 41:15 His back is made of rows of shields, shut up closely as with a seal. 16 One is so near to another that no air can come between them. 17 They are joined one to another; they clasp each other and cannot be separated. 18 His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the dawn. 19 Out of his mouth go flaming torches; sparks of fire leap forth. 20 Out of his nostrils comes forth smoke, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. 21 His breath kindles coals, and a flame comes forth from his mouth.
The Draco System

Constellation Draco
Draco, Latin for “dragon,” is a large, winding northern constellation representing a serpent or dragon, best known for its circumpolar nature (never setting for northern observers) and its faint stars that snake between Ursa Major (Big Dipper) and Ursa Minor (Little Dipper).
It contains Thuban, which was the North Star thousands of years ago, and its head forms a distinctive trapezoid of four stars north of Hercules (a large constellation containing many stars, some of which themselves are multiple-star systems).
The name “Thuban” derives from Arabic, meaning “head of the serpent,” a reference to its constellation, Draco (the Dragon).
Today Polaris is known as the North Star sitting in the spot in the sky which aligns with Earth’s axis of rotation points. Polaris, known as the North Star, sits more or less directly above Earth’s north pole along our planet’s rotational axis. This is the imaginary line that extends through the planet and out of the north and south poles.
The native Akkadian name for the city of Babylon, was Bāb-ilim, meaning ‘gate of God’. In the Hebrew Bible, the name appears as Babel (Hebrew: בָּבֶל, romanized: Bāḇel; and was interpreted to mean CONFUSION!
Not far from chaos, right?
So What Does Babylon actually Mean?
Many believe that Babylon (Bab-ilim) represent a doorway or a mythological portal: Local legends and modern day writers describe it as a “stargate” or an entryway leading into an interdimensional spirit realm.
If this description was true for ancient Babylon, Then maybe that same description is true today for New Babylon; The Great?
Britain, along with Ecclesiastical Babylon (the Roman Catholic Church and Christianity) through many ungodly means, were responsible for opening this same dark threshold? They have become the gateway releasing thousands of malevolent entities into our world. This is not some travel mechanism that people can use to whisk to and fro, throughout different galaxies, but, an opening, one where thousands of sinister spirits have entered into our physical realm!
Enoch
Enoch 60:6-8 On that day, two great monsters were separated, a female monster named Leviathan, to dwell in the depths of the ocean over the springs of waters. 7 The male is named Behemoth, who with his chest occupies a desolate wilderness named Doidâin, east of the garden where the chosen and righteous dwell, where my grandfather was taken up, the seventh from Adam, the first man whom the Lord of Spirits created. 8 I pleaded with the other angel to show me the power of these monsters, how they were separated on one day and thrown, one into the depths of the sea, and the other into the dry land of the wilderness.

The Wilderness Beast!
The Book of Enoch (specifically Chapter 60) describes Leviathan as a colossal female sea monster dwelling in the depths of the sea, who was separated from her male counterpart Behemoth (a land beast) on the day of creation for divine judgment. Both represent cosmic chaos, reserved for a great eschatological banquet where their flesh will be served to the righteous at the end of time, showcasing God’s ultimate sovereignty.
We know that Yeshua was tempted in the wilderness, a physical/spiritual place where Behemoth dwells until the end. Could he be the voice of Satan?
4 Then the Spirit led Yeshua up into the wilderness to be tempted by the Adversary. 2 After Yeshua had fasted forty days and nights, he was hungry. 3 The Tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, order these stones to become bread.” 4 But he answered, “The Tanakh says,
‘Man does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of Adonai’”
5 Then the Adversary took him to the holy city and set him on the highest point of the Temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “jump! For the Tanakh says,
‘He will order his angels to be responsible for you. . . .
They will support you with their hands,
so that you will not hurt your feet on the stones.’”
7 Yeshua replied to him, “But it also says, ‘Do not put Adonai your God to the test.’”
8 Once more, the Adversary took him up to the summit of a very high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in all their glory, 9 and said to him, “All this I will give you if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 “Away with you, Satan!” Yeshua told him, “For the Tanakh says,
‘Worship Adonai your God, and serve only him.’” 11 Then the Adversary let him alone, and angels came and took care of him.
2nd Esdras
53 “On the sixth day you commanded the earth to bring forth before you cattle, wild animals, and creeping things, 54 and over these you placed Adam, as ruler over all the works that you had made, and from him we have all come, the people whom you have chosen.
The Inheritance Of GOD’s People!
2nd Esdras 6: 55 “All this I have spoken before you, O Lord, because you have said that it was for us that you created this world.56 As for the other nations that have descended from Adam, you have said that they are nothing and that they are like spittle, and you have compared their abundance to a drop from a bucket. 57 And now, O Lord, these nations, which are reputed to be as nothing, domineer over us and devour us. 58 But we your people, whom you have called your firstborn, only begotten, zealous for you, and most dear, have been given into their hands. 59 If the world has indeed been created for us, why do we not possess our world as an inheritance? How long will this be so?”
