Deuteronomy 28:49 Promises

The LORD will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand,

The Hebrew word translated in English as, far away, “rachoq” could also figuratively mean, “a great while to come” referencing either a “far away place”, or a “far away (future) time-line,” or both.

To Know Is To Understand

The Hebrew word “shama” was translated in this scripture, Deuteronomy 28:49 as “understand,” in English.

Amos 8:11

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the FATHER, “When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine for bread or thirst for water, But rather for “hearing” the words of YHWH.

The Hebrew word translated as “hearing” is also shama #8085, and just as in the scripture Deuteronomy 28:49 it can also be defined as “understand.”

It appears that many prophets used the word shama as understanding. Which is why it was a word most often translated into English as “understand.”

Genesis 11:7 (ESV) Come, let us go down there and confuse their language, so that they may not “understand” one another’s speech.

Here in Genesis, this word is once again translated into the English word, “understand.”

Remember…

Behold, days are coming, declares YHWH, “When I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for “hearing” (understanding) the words of YHWH.

Here, in Amos 8:11, YHWH reveals a future, time, when HE will send a famine, not one where men will thirst for water, or a hunger for bread, but rather a lack in deficiency for understanding HIS WORD!

HE also reveals…

Your FATHER will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand,

A ruthless nation with no respect for the old and no pity for the young.

A warning of devastation

Jeremiah 5:15 mirrors Deuteronomy 28:49-50, becoming a prophecy which defines how YHWH would release a mighty, nation, far into the future, one from a land far away, to conquer and to subdue the Yehudim. This will be a people with an unknown language, whose words they won’t be able to “understand,” which foreshadowed in some part, what they experienced in the Babylonian invasion.

Even worse, we are told, this will be a mean face-people, a people completely void of compassion. This prophecy became far worse then anything experienced prior. These very severe consequences, firmly placed upon Yeshurun (Jacob’s) descendants would become so catastrophic in size and scale, it would measure larger then any persecution ever endured in the past.

This tribulation was not only to reveal to everyone the consequences of dis-obeying YHWH, but also to reveal globally; just who the descendants of Yeshurun (Jacob) were and continued to be!

Luke 23:28, Yeshua turned to them and said, “Daughters of Yerushalayim, don’t cry for me; cry for yourselves and your children! 29) For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the childless women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’”

More confirmation!

This tells us that during the time of Yehoshua, this catastrophic persecution had not yet occurred. Yeshua re-assured everyone during this time, that this impending doom was soon to come. Prophecies that were foretold in many scriptures, Deuteronomy 28, Jeremiah 5, and Daniel 7.  

Today, when reading these historic persecutions as a reference, no-one should ever question the people of Yeshurun who were specified.

When you have scriptures such as, Jeremiah 5:15 Behold, I am bringing against you
a nation from afar, O house of Yeshurun,
declares YHWH. It is an enduring nation;
it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor can you understand what they say.

The Hebrew word “shama” translated as the English word, “understand.” make it very clear.

We have learned, just as YEHUWAH (YHWH) confused the language, in ancient times when men became too insolent to follow HIS laws; building a tower to heaven, (the Tower of Babel) in defiance and contempt of HIM, Human rebellion, has once again reaped the same destructive sequence of events.

As the carnal mind eagerly pursues evil, descending deeper into corruption; Yehoshua’s “way” (spiritual) offering truth and life, leading men toward the light (or enlightenment) due to lack of understanding, has become incomprehensible; allowing Satan and his false religions to mis-guide and redirecting entire nations onto a path leading to unrighteousness, chaos and destruction.

Today’s leaders, cannot comprehend righteousness and are incapable of teaching it to others.

Unfortunately, sin and corruption continue to spread at an unprecedented rate. Today, there exist no priest, teacher, leader nor elder capable of correctly explaining the ancient prophecies from the Bible.

Today there exist no Jonah’s, Ezekiel’s, or Zechariah’s to rescue us from the fate of biblical illiteracy.

So, What happened?

Over a thousand years ago, great kingdoms (nations) were established, structured by the most unholiest of origins. These nations were forged through lies, using, war, slavery, blood and murder.

In the Bible, they were described as horns, (including the little horn) and were led by the anti-messianic beast “Christ.” These kingdoms have caused the entire world to descend into darkness.

Christian nations, such as the US, France, and Great Britain, who have financed their massive armies and economies through evil, treacherous means, such as colonialism, war, theft, and slavery continue to reign unchallenged. Under this same dark code of ethics, many Muslim nations financed their economies, using these same unrighteous principles.

Unfortunately, many of the most powerful nations today, were structured directly from Satan’s deceitful treachery. Not a very sturdy foundation. These ancient rulers established their kingdoms atop soil drenched in oppression and structured their economies in the butchered bodies of slaves, literally signing their worthless constitutions in the blood of countless aboriginal and indigenous people. People, whose land they stole. Whose cities were built upon the backs of slaves they routinely raped, tortured and brutalized.

According to Daniel and many others, the future of the Yehudim looked absolutely catastrophic!!

Daniel 7:7 After this, in the night I saw a fourth beast, terrifying, horrible, and of extraordinary strength; it had great iron teeth with which it devoured and crushed, and it trampled with its feet what was left. It was different from the beasts that preceded it. And it had ten horns.

The Beasts from the Sea

Re-evaluating the egregious actions forced upon over 80 percent of the entire world by early European conquerors. Daniel’s prophecies of a future combination beasts lead by powerful horns, rising up from the depths of the “Great Sea” (the Mediterranean, beginning with Spain and Portugal) were righteously confirmed.

Eventually these conquerors managed their way onto the Atlantic Ocean, bringing into fruition Daniel’s ultimate prophecy. The prophecy of a powerful evil, that would rise up from the sea, subjugating a huge percentage of the world, decimating millions.

The identity of this ruthless creature, Daniel witnessed, arriving from the depths of the Mediterranean, was none other than early European conquerors. Pillagers traveling the world under the pretense of godly work, spreading Christian lies. In their brutal crusade confiscating anything and everything they could possibly steal, a trail of misery ensued as a result of their “so called” quest to Christianize the world.

This beast was comprised of men who routinely brutalized people for profit. They devastated millions of lives, as they traveled the world confiscating anything of value.

(Ten horns) Rising; According to the Bible

Using brutal unmitigated forces, the early European invaders overwhelmed countless unsuspecting indigenous people in Africa, Asia, North and South American and other places around the world. Stealing their land, treasures, and other valuable priceless possessions. This was all done under the watchful eye of the Roman Catholic Church, their pope and millions of Protestant fanatics.

Revelation 12:3 Another sign (semeion; Greek) was seen in heaven, there was a great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven royal crowns. This confirms that all previous great empires, (recorded in biblical history, were prior enemies of the ONE YHWH and HIS Yehudim people), Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Holy Rome, and eventually the British Empire; leading to the United States, were all extensions and sources of; the dragon.

Leviathan

Destruction rises up from the sea!!

Jeremiah 51:34 King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has eaten and crushed us and drained us of strength. He has swallowed us like a great monster and filled his belly with our riches. He has thrown us out of our own country.

Who Was Babylon; The Great!

Just as King Nebuchadnezzar crushed and drained the ancient Southern Kingdom of their strength, so also did European conquerors crush and demolished the remaining Yehudim, Binyamin, and Lewi people (the last of the tribes of Yeshurun) between the 16th and 19th centuries. During the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade, the Yehudim were drained of their faith, hope, resilience, and wealth by Spain and Portugal. Eventually the British Empire, arose to become the New “Babylon; The Great,” of biblical prophecy, a nation that absorbed a fourth of the world’s governments, landmass and people.

Revelation 13:1 The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

These ten horns represented ten kings. One of these horns was prophesied to become the greatest of all empires, emerging as the “British Empire.” Founded by the tribe of the Angles, (along with Saxons, Jutes, and Celts) a major tool leading to the fall of the Roman Empire. Great Britain became a great stabilizing fixture in Europe.

Even though Protestants and Catholics fought brutally against one another, killing thousands, they somehow manage to bring into fruition Satan’s many destructive goals, such as, ignorance of truth, the great rebellion against the true son, YEHOSHUA, and powerful hostility directed towards the ONE TRUE GOD YEHUWAH and HIS Ten Commandments.

They also assisted in the extermination of all history involving any truth pertaining to Yeshurun and his remnant (descendants).

There is an interesting connection between Great Britain, Germany, and the Holy Roman Empire!

The British Empire, who often claimed they were not ruled by the Holy Roman Empire, went on to become a major source of strength for them. (King George I, of Great Britain and Ireland (August 1st 1714), became ruler of the Electorate of Hanover, Germany. He was also confirmed as Holy Roman Emperor from January 23rd 1698 until his death in 1727, It was this confirmation, that sealed John’s prophecy. The prophecy which crowned the British monarch as the uninterrupted rulership of the Holy Roman Empire, which aided in forging the union between The British Empire and the Holy Roman Empires.

Massive By Size And Scale

By landmass and population, the British Empire was the largest in human history, covering nearly a quarter of the world’s landmass and ruling over 400 million people (a fourth of the population at the time). Its history was marked by profound exploitation and violence.

Did you know: The Third Reich, meant the “Third Realm” or “Third Empire?” It referred to the Nazi claim that Nazi Germany was the successor to the earlier Holy Roman Empire. Too bad Hitler didn’t know then, what we know today. You can not make biblical prophecy occur by your own hand, or through your own narcissism. This prophecy was foretold by YHWH HIMSELF, and recorded thousands of years ago through HIS obedient follower, John.

John’s Revelation acknowledges eight (horns) kingdoms, beginning with Egypt; not a Third Realm. Also, this prophecy (revealed by Daniel) had already been successfully sealed centuries ago as the pope rose to become the eighth horn, (creating Christianity and the Roman Church). King George being recognized historically as the first British monarch of the House of Hanover, solidified the spiritual succession of the British Empire connecting it to the Holy Roman Empire!

Today many officials and dignitaries of Great Britain give the most eloquent speeches advocating morality, justice, fairness, and democracy. Yet, it owes a majority of its current wealth, and political power to war, the theft of many lands and the trafficking of human souls.

Did you know: The State of New York (was originally named New Netherland (Dutch) until September 8th 1664? It was re-named in honor of the Duke of York, King James II.

Did you also know: Jamestown Virginia was named in honor King James I, the Dukes father?

Have you ever heard of Anglo Israelism?

Who are the Anglo-Saxons?

Anglo – Saxons are described as white English-speaking people of British or northern European origin. The name England means “land of the Angles,” in accordance with the tribe of the Angles, who were also known as Aegel. Today, Members of Anglo Israelism believe that this word, “aegel,” connects them to, Abraham. They even claim that the word means, “bull calf,” in Hebrew. This word, “aegel,” they claim, confirms their identifying connection to the Israelite tribe of Ephraim (the youngest son of Yosef). Mind you, the Northern Tribes disappeared in 722 BCE. No one knows who, or where they are except YHWH, HIMSELF.

To further explain, Yosef, ‘Joseph,’ was one of the twelve brothers famously known as the twelve tribes of Yeshurun (Jacob). From what I have gathered, the name Ephraim translates as, “fruitful.” אֶפְרָיִם (‘Efrayim), meaning “fruitful,” it comes from the Hebrew verb פרה (pārāh) also meaning fruitful.

In biblical Hebrew, the word `egel (often transliterated as egel) translates specifically to calf or bull-calf. This is the exact word used in the Torah to describe the infamous “Golden Calf” made by the Israelites. So unfortunately, these people are associating themselves to bull calf, and not in a good way. Many mis-guided Israelites worshiped this golden bull-calf in their confusion.

The tribe of Ephraim ceased to exist as a separate entity after the Assyrian conquest in 722 BCE. This historic event resulted in the deportation and disappearance of the Northern Kingdom.

The British Are Coming!

Whether or not the British are connected to Efrayim is definitely up for debate. However, there is a very interesting connection between the word “seax” (Norse) and Saxon. “Seax,” which actually delineates a knife, is a characterization used to describe the ancient tribe, later known as the, “Saxons.” They were men who manipulated knives, or daggers so proficiently, they became infamously known, as “warriors with knives.

The Saxon’s were so proficient at wielding these knives or seax; Iron scramasax (used to defeat their adversaries), that they, the Saxons literally referred to their daggers, as their companions.

The Kingdom of Essex

Seaxe or the Kingdom of Essex, was said to be founded by Aescwine in 527 CE. The genealogy of the kings of Essex (England) placed Saxnot, as their warrior god, during its apex. Saxnot was the German god of Iron, Steel and war. In Norse mythology he was worshiped as the son of the god, (little “g”) Woden (Odin).

Saxnot – was the national god of the Saxons, he was linked to war, the sword (the seax), and tribal identity, appearing in Old Saxon oaths alongside Woden and Thunar (Thor), and in East-Saxon genealogies as a son of Woden, often seen as a protector god embodying Saxon martial prowess. 

His name combines seax (a type of knife/sword) and -nēat (companion, comrade, or lord), meaning “Sword-Companion” or “Lord of the Sword”. (the origin of their war mongering)

Now; Anglo Israelism

Anglo-Israelism has been attributed to Francis Drake, an English Admiral and explorer known to have circumnavigated the entire globe, and King James I and VI, who believed he was the king of Israel.

Today, many western Christian groups, in particular those of the United Church of God, believe that the whole United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are direct descendants of Ephraim, the youngest son of Joseph. They also believe that the whole United States, (speaking only of its white Anglo immigrants, of course) became the direct descendants of Manasseh, Josephs eldest son. This interpretation, appears to be based on Yeshurun (Jacob), who said, “these two tribes would become the most supreme nations in the world.”

In Genesis Jacob revealed that Joseph was entitled to a double portion of an inheritance from his father, Ephraim and Manasseh, his two sons, each would benefit from this double portion and were equally merged into the Yeshurun family.

According to Biblical records, centuries after Jacob’s death, it was prophesied, by YHWH, HIMSELF, that the twelve tribes would eventually follow worldly distractions, become disobedient, not adhering to YEHUWAH’s specific instructions thereby bringing great curses and calamities onto themselves, and their descendants. (Jacob’s trouble) as recorded in multiple books of the “Old Testament” (including Jeremiah 30:6-7) where future persecutions were written.

The end of a solar powered generation!!!

Revelation 12:4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of heaven and threw them down to earth.

It stood in front of the woman about to give birth, so that it might devour the child (YEHOSHUA) the moment He was born.

We now know that the stars who fell to earth by way of the dragons tail, represented the fallen ones (angels who left their original estate to engage in wickedness). Through their descent they brought darkness, despair, confusion, and chaos into the universe. Today they represent multiple false deities who continues to aid the dragon in seducing billions, over many centuries.

Revelation 8:12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that their light might be darkened, and a third of the day might be kept from shining, and likewise a third of the night.

A third of the day being blocked from mans visual acuity probably means that a third of the day leading up to the end would spiritually be darkened. This darkness is due to man’s direct worship of cosmic beings. Religions such as Buddhism and Christianity, have often used symbolisms such as, the sun. A third of the moon is equally revealing, this seem to reference religions who us lunar symbolism, religions such as Islam, Hinduism and Wicca often use the moon as a symbol.

The dimming of light from these celestial bodies are definitely due to mans defiance and disobedience as he continues in this ill-fated behavior. Sabbath desecration and our constant idolatry continue to dim the light (truth) surrounding us.

Likewise during the night when the stars normally offer a large portion of luminosity, and assist us in special dates and observances, a third of them will remain darkened as well. This will add to a supernatural obscurity, causing a darkness even more stygian than anything man has experienced previously.

Spiritually, during this period, a third of the population will become absent of light (discernment). Rational thinking will become compromised, descending humanity into absolute blackness (a depth of depravity completely void of light). In these final days we learn how further obscurity, will continue to cause men to decline.

YHWH’s last day, is (a time measuring more than one thousand years), due to demonic intervention. This day will eventually be inundated by an unyielding darkness (blindness). Those lacking the Spirit of YHWH our FATHER will be unable to comprehend anything good, including scripture.

A third of the population will become void of reason. Critical thinking, common sense rules, and sound judgment will all suffer. People will begin to behave more, and more like beasts, relying upon instinct rather than reason. Humanity, empathy, compassion will all be compromised. As a result, humanitarian efforts around the world will begin to suffer.

This is a direct result of paganism, idolatry, and demonic worship. This may seem impossible to fathom, since most people are bound to some form of notable religion, but the truth is, many of these traditional practices we follow, were founded on ungodly principles and not in biblical scripture.

Revelation 13:3 tells us, “and the whole world marveled as they followed the beast.”

The Dragon’s true purpose!

In Revelation we learn that the Dragon’s attention was first focused specifically on destroying the child, soon to be born through the Yehudim tribe (the woman). In verse 5 we discover that the woman (Yehudah) gave birth to a son, one who will rule all nations with a staff of iron. This describes YEHOSHUA who resisted Satan and remained obedient to the FATHER until His death. Because of Him, the power of death was destroyed, Satan’s hold over YEHUWAH’s people was thwarted and his attempt to completely destroy YEHOSHUA and the Yehudim remained unsuccessful.

Later, in verse 17 it explains how, the Dragon began to focus all of his attention on the rest of the woman’s seed, her children. Believing he could easily used the cover of war, colonialism, and the slave trades, as a means to completely destroy the remnant of YEHUWAH. He may have thought that luring his ungodly people into forging these unholy markets would afford him the advantage needed to eradicate many of the 144,000. If not in body then definitely in mind and spirit. Yet, we know he would not have access to the Northern Tribes, who disappeared in 722 BCE. No one knows who they are today, except YHWH. Never the less, in an attempt to exterminate as many of the 144,000 as possible, he begin his persecution of the Southern Kingdom (the Yehudim, Lewi, and small remnant of Binyamin tribes). He has worked diligently to dismantle their powerful connection to YEHOSHUA and has continued to distort the truth of YEHUWAH.

He may have believed that through this massive dis-information campaign, his world-wide efforts would diminish the faith of the Yehudim, but, he will not prevail.

The Many Connections Between Babylon The Great And Ancient Babylon!

Did you know: Abolitionists in the 18th and 19th centuries didn’t just see the Babylonian Captivity as a historical event; they utilized it as a moral blueprint to condemn the British slave trade? They drew direct lines between the “oppressor” (Babylon/Britain) and the “oppressed” (Israel/Enslaved Africans).

Here are the specific ways they used those biblical parallels to fight for freedom:

The Metaphor of “Babylon” as the British Empire!

Abolitionist writers and preachers frequently labeled London or the British Empire as the “New Babylon.” By doing so, they were delivering a warning: just as YHWH judged Babylon for it’s pride and its mistreatment of captives, HE would eventually judge Britain (and her subsidiaries the US and Canada).

Psalm 137: This was the “anthem” of the exile. Abolitionist pointed to the line, “how shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land?” To describe the spiritual and mental trauma of enslaved people being forced to abandon their culture and faith.

“Man-Stealing” and the Death Penalty,

Abolitionist often used a specific legal parallel from the time of the Babylonian and Mosaic laws to counter the “pro-slavery” arguments of the day.

Exodus 21:16 “He that stealeth a man, and selleth him… shall surely be put to death.”

The Argument: Since the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade relied on kidnapping (man-stealing), abolitionists argued it was an “abomination” that violated the very foundations of biblical law, regardless of any other verses that seem to permit domestic servitude.

The Moral Superiority of the “Exile” over “Chattel Slavery.”

One of the most effective arguments used by British abolitionists like, Grandville Sharp was to highlight that even the “pagan” Babylonians treated their captives better than the “Christian” British.

It was further pointed out that in Babylon, Jewish (Yehudim) captives like Daniel or Nehemiah could rise to become high-ranking government advisors. In contrast, the British system of chattel slavery denied enslaved people any legal humanity, reducing them to permanent property.

The Goal: To shame the British public by suggesting that their “enlightened” empire was actually more barbaric than the ancient world.

The Cultural Legacy

This parallel was so powerful that it survived long after the British abolished slavery in 1833. It became the backbone of Black Spirituals, where songs about ” crossing the River Jordan” or “leaving Babylon” were actually coded maps and messages about escaping to freedom.

The Treaty of Paris on September 3rd 1873,

The United States of America!

The British Empire formally surrendered its sovereign political power over the United States with the signing of the Treaty of Paris on September 3rd 1873, which officially ended the American Revolutionary War and recognized U.S. independence.

While America won its independence, it did not replace Britain as the dominant global superpower until years later.

In (1945) following World War II, a devastated and financially drained Britain was forced to cede global leadership to the United States. The National WWII Museum outlines how the post-war order in 1945 cemented the U.S. dollar as the dominant international currency and America as the supreme global superpower.

To Ecclesiastical Babylon and it’s allies (the Catholic Church and her accomplices)

Isaiah 47:9 These two things will overtake you in a moment, in a single day: loss of children, and widowhood. They will come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and the potency of your spells.

The Bible tells us that FATHER’s elect cannot be destroyed! Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, If it were possible even the elect.

Unlike Babylon, the British Empire (along with multiple other nations) were responsible for not only thrusting millions of Yehudim and West Africans into slavery, but illegal sex trafficking, torture and murder. Even worse, their (motives) were purely avarice and driven by an unfathomable lust to obtain power.

Interesting fact: This is the Red – Dragon, adopted by the Welsh kings of Aberffraw in the early fifth century. It is known as the Red Dragon of Cadwaladr (the Welsh flag) and was officially adopted in 1959. It is the oldest flag still in use.

Isaiah 27:1, In that day, the LORD will punish with HIS sword-HIS fierce, great powerful sword- Leviathan the gliding serpent, Leviathan the coiling serpent; He will slay the monster of the sea.

Isn’t it interesting? Although today we associate dragons almost universally with fire, in medieval legend, however, the beasts were associated with water. Either guarding springs, or living near, or under water. It makes perfect sense, that this evil spiritual predator (leviathan) would eventually manifest itself physically as European conquerors.

Who came first, the Yehudim or the Jew?

The Jewish people we know today, may not actually be Yehudim (members of the tribe of Yehudah). At least not according to mitochondrial DNA tests which has revealed that many Ashkenazi (who make up over 70% of the world’s practicing Jewish population) were ancestrally European. (Live Science, Surprise: Ashkenazi Jews As Genetically European by Tia Ghose) in her article, claims more than 80 percent of the maternal lineages of Ashkenazi could be traced to Europe, with only a few lineages originating in the Near East.

Nature communications, A substantial prehistoric European ancestry amongst Ashkenazi maternal lineages; Article number 2543 (2013) discovered that a great majority of Ashkenazi maternal lineages were not brought from the Levant (Eastern Mediterranean and West Asia), as commonly supposed, nor recruited in the Caucasus (located on the fringes of Turkey, Iran, and Russia), as sometimes suggested, but were assimilated within Europe.

How on earth could Europeans assume the history and culture of the Yehudah?

Could this link back to some ancient sinister plot?

Maybe?

In the past (around the 2nd century BCE) there was an ancient battle involving the Edomites (descendants of Esau) and members of the ancient Yehudah and Lewi tribes. This happened during a time when the Yehudah were also defending the Temple against Antiochus IV Epiphanes of the Seleucid (Syrian) Empire. Eventually, the Edomites would be defeated, becoming prisoners’ of war and forced into Hebrew conversion; adopting the Hebrew culture and way of life. This took place during the Hasmonean Dynasty (140 BCE – 37 BCE). During this time this small group of Edomites were merged or assimilated into the nations of the Yehudah. The Roman Republic conquered the Hasmonean Dynasty in 63 BCE, it was at this time Herod the Great successfully displaced the last of the reigning Hasmonean rulers in 37 BCE.

Interesting Facts: Herod I, leader of the Yehudah, in Rome, born around 72 BCE, second son of Antipater, was not a member of the Twelve Tribes (Yehudah) but was in fact an Idumean (an Edomite, a descendant of Esau). It was Edomites who threatened the life of Yehoshua as an infant, and Edomites who commanded the killing of all male Yehudim infants, 2 years old and under.

Antipater, Idumean founder of the Herodian dynasty in Palestine, gained power over the Yehudah by making himself useful to the Romans. In return for Antipater’s support, Caesar appointed him procurator of the Yehudim.

Obadiah 1: 8-11 (MSG) Your world will collapse. You won’t know what hit you. So don’t be surprised”—it’s YEHUWAH’s sure Word!— “when I wipe out all sages from Edom and rid the Esau mountains of its famous wise men. Your great heroes will desert you, Teman (Yemen). There’ll be nobody left in Esau’s mountains. Because of the murderous history compiled against your brother Yeshurun, you will be looked down on by everyone. You’ll lose your place in history. On that day you stood there and didn’t do anything. Strangers took your brother’s army into exile. Godless foreigners invaded and pillaged Yerushalayim. You stood there and watched. You were as bad as they were.

Obadiah 1: 12-14 “Edom, do not laugh at your brother Yeshurun in his time of trouble or be happy about the people of Yehudah when they are destroyed. Do not brag when cruel things are done to them. Do not enter the city gate of MY people in their time of trouble (Jacob’s trouble) or laugh at their problems in their time of trouble. Do not stand at the crossroads to destroy those who are trying to escape. Do not capture those who escape alive and turn them over to their enemy in the day of their trouble.

And Still A Sudden Destruction Is Coming…

1st Thessalonians 5:1-3 Paul warns of a time when people will say, “peace and safety,” but sudden destruction will come upon them, also referring to the false peace mentioned in Daniel.

Matthew 20:16 So the last will be first, and the first will be last. For many are called, but few are chosen.
