Who are the true tribe of Yehuda?
In 1655, a large shipment of slaves directly from Africa arrived at New Amsterdam.
In 1664 the English seized New Netherland, including New Amsterdam renaming the colony, New York in honor of King James II (then the Prince of York). This happened during the reign of King Charles II, James brother.
Revelation 6:5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black (melas) horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales (zugon) in his hand. 6) Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine.
The voice that was heard among the four living creatures, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and two pounds of barley for a day’s wages,” is exactly what could be heard in a market or more accurately an auction house. A place where people frequently bought and traded slaves.
The Greek word melas, was translated as black or dark. This warning confirms that a very dark time would soon engulf John’s people.
Interestingly, melas is the origin word translated into English as melanin, describing pigmentation in dark skin, hair, and eyes. John again accurately prophesied the fate of the Yehudi people.
The Greek word translated as scale, zugon was a wooden cross piece that was used to fasten over the necks of two animals and attached to a plow or cart that they pull.
Authors’ note: So not only was the cross a spiritual symbol of idolatry and slavery, it was a physical symbol of slavery as well.
Hebrew- ole; pronounced owl #5923 a curved piece of wood fastened to a pole or beam, laid upon the neck of beasts for drawing.
figuratively: The Greek zugon, the Hebrew, ole and the Old Norse yoke, all describe an instrument of burden or slavery.
The Greek word mis-translated into English as scale, zugon, comes from the word zeugnumi. It means yoke, and represents bondage, a bond servant, or slave. This prophecy was intended as a testimony of what would become of GOD’s people. It wasn’t a warning but more of a confirmation of things to come. An impending doom approaching especially from the far north. Troubles coming to them in the form of false religions, a false prophet, false deities, idolatry, and slavery.
This was the message that GOD gave John to deliver. A prophecy that slavery on a massive scale, one larger than anything ever witnessed before in the history of this people was coming to overtake the Yehudi, like a massive tidal wave.

Ezekiel 27:12 Tarshish (Carthage, a modern village in Southern Spain) was your procurer of great wealth. For your wares, they exchange silver, iron, tin, and lead. 13) Javan (Greeks), Tubal (Italians and Spanish), and Meshech (Turkey) were your agents in human trafficking, They gave you bronze vessels for these wares of yours. (Ezekiel 27: 1- 14 mentions Lebanon, Turkey, Spain, and Italy)
Did you know: that all these countries border the Mediterranean Sea. Daniel prophesied in chapter 7, that he saw four beast nations arise from this very location.
Did you also know: that as predicted in Ezekiel 27: 12-13, an early slave trade of Africans materialized in Roman Carthage around the 5th century?
In 500 CE: According to Wikipedia, Roman Carthage (Tunisia) began trading Africans as slaves. Bringing them across the Sahara. The empire even imposed a custom tax on the trading of slaves. Africans were said to be the most coveted as household slaves due to their exotic appearance.
Some historians even argue that the scale of the slave trade in this period may have been higher than in medieval times due to the high demand for Black slaves in the Roman Empire!
Meshech (Psalm 120:5, a generic reference to barbarous regions where “those who hate peace” reside, described also in ‘verse 6’)
According to Archibald Sayce, Meshech can be identified with Muska, a name appearing in Assyrian inscriptions.
Yehoshua’s disciple, John (in the book of Revelation) was prophesying a time when the Yehudim would suffer the horrible consequence of a massive slave trade. One on a scale so monumental it would far surpass any other in history. John included it in his prophecies in Revelation. In that prophecy, John revealed how just as wheat and barley were sold in the market place for profit, the people of GOD (also metaphorically called wheat and barley in Yeshua’s famous parables,) would sadly be reduced to merchandise, mere objects to be traded and sold for profit.
In Matthew 13, Yeshua gave an example featuring wheat and tares. In this famous parable He describes how a field planted only with good seed (wheat) was deliberately corrupted by an enemy. Deliberately sowing seeds of tares (weeds) among the good seed (the wheat). This contamination was physically attempted over and over again during multiple slave trades including the Trans Saharan (Muslim) and Trans -Atlantic Slave Trades (Christian).
GOD’s people received a great punishment for choosing lies and paganism over GOD’s Truth. GOD sent HIS SDN to redeem them, but they rejected HIM too.
Did you know: That during the Red Sea Slave Trade (which began as early as the 1st century) people were taken as slaves from the inland of the Red Sea and shipped to the Middle East and India. Most were abducted from Nubia, Darfur, Madagascar, Kordofan, the White and Blue Nile basins, and the Nilotic regions in today’s South Sudan and Western Ethiopia.
The slave trade from Africa to Arabia via the Red Sea had ancient roots. During Pre-Islamic Arabia, Arab war captives were common targets of slavery. Slaves were often imported from Ethiopia across the Red Sea.
“Do not hurt the oil and the wine!”
Consider how many grapes are crushed throughout the wine vinification process. Unfortunately, in the case of the Yehudi, millions of people were oppressed, whole families completely crushed, as the dragon attempted to annihilate the entire remnant of GOD’s people, (the future one hundred and forty-four thousand). The Yehudi were punished for their disobedience, and as a result the dragon used this time and opportunity to shamelessly persecute them. Influencing a global repudiation towards all Africans, which basically included anyone with dark skin, especially those with kinky hair.
Hosea 9:10 “When I found Israel, it was like finding grapes in the desert; when I saw your ancestors, it was like seeing the early fruit on the fig tree. But when they came to Baal Peor, they consecrated themselves to that shameful idol and became as vile as the thing they loved.

Deuteronomy 28: 32-33 Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, and you will wear out your eyes watching for them day after day, powerless to lift a hand. (33) A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all of your days.
The LORD will drive you and the king you set over you to a nation unknown to you or your ancestors. There you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone. You will become a thing of horror and an object of scorn and ridicule to all the nations where the LORD will drive you. Deuteronomy 28: 36-37
